As we start the 150th commemoration of the start of the American Civil War, let's take some time to remember heroes from all wars and all services. Without their dedication to their country, their willingness to go into harm's way, and their desire to accept nothing less than victory, our way of life would have ended a long time ago. All have paid some price, but hundreds of thousands paid the ultimate price.
Major Richard Winters was one of such people. He's in the photo above. He and his brothers invaded Festung Europa and helped secure freedom for the World, and for future generations. Maj. Winters passed away recently, but his legacy lives on. Let's hope he can find the peace now that he so desired to see during his lifetime. He, and all the others like him, have earned their share of it. God bless them all!
